Work done on Saturday, December 27:

* North car barn: The purlins are all up on the east wall, and started on the west wall.  On the east side staging another set of braces was put up, for higher walkways for when the roof trusses go up.  On a semi-related note, Mike found a bunch of old ties and put them in the middle of the roundhouse run-through track around the position of the roof trusses, so that the crane can drive over the track and not get a wheel stuck in between the rails.
* Loco 10 cleanup: Jason, Bob L, and others cleaned out the locomotive for winter storage: lit a fire to get a small amount of pressure, power washing, hydro test, then dumping the water out.
* Tours: At least a dozen people showed up, looking for a train ride, but we aren't running anymore until Spring.  So they got tours.  Most left a donation with us.
* Other: Mike retrieved some steel beam from somewhere up the line.  Mike did some grading of the lot around the roof trusses with the tractor, then got it stuck behind the garage.  It took the Kubota to get it out.  I went to end of line with the measuring wheel to measure off the new track.

Happy New Year everyone!

391 feet of new mainline track, and 404 feet of spiked-down siding.  I didn't count the tail track on the siding, since it wasn't spiked down.

This gives us a total of 2.54 miles of mainline track (we had 2.47 before) and just over a half mile of siding tracks.

Great news about the steady progress on the car storage building.  Fred L. Kuhns
