Work done Saturday November 15:

* North car barn - Half of the braces on the east wall were put up, but the staging was too icy to continue.  The remaining braces are sitting by their respective poles waiting to be installed.  The large 36 foot beam was installed on the bottom of the south wall.  Lastly a support beam was fitted for going up next to the southeast corner post.
* Passengers - We had 16 people.

Work done on Saturday Nov 22:

* Loco 9 - Jason and crew did another hydro.  His repairs to the cylinder passages worked, there was no leak.  He believes he'll do a steam test this week!
* North Car barn - The remaining braces were put up on both walls.  Two supporting beams were put up against the southeast and southwest corner posts.  The southwest top beams were an inch too high for about a third of the distance, so Zack notched out for the rafters.  Lastly he prepped two more posts, for the south wall.
* Caboose party - Kids all over the place, most of the families had not been to the Museum before.

FYI - the current plan is to place the rafters in two weekends.  We'll need a number of people to help on the ground, and on the structure.

Anticipated work for Saturday Nov 29:

* Storm cleanup - we're expecting a few inches of snow tonight, we may need to clear tracks.  Plus there's still some trees down from earlier this month...
* Loco 9
* North car barn - Zack has a few more beams to put up before the rafters go up.

Work done this week and today:

Tuesday: Dwight and Fred worked on clearing storm debris from a few weeks ago.  Loco 9 was test steamed.

Saturday: Short day.  Two posts were mounted on the south wall beam of the car shed, then some staging was put up.  Linda worked in the Archives.

Some weeks ago I heard rumor of an "all hands on deck day" to raise the roof trusses. Any more information on that?
