This Week -
* Locomotive 9 - Jason, Brendan, Phil, Jonathan and Leon worked on a number of projects including: (1) ashpan, (2) blower feed and nozzle, (3) steam header pipes, (4) boiler drain/access holes, (5) filling the boiler.
* Car storage building - Brendan delivered a load of wood from Fred to be used for staging and bracing. Zack, Fred, Steve Z. and Dwight built staging along the west side wall posts. The work required extra temporary sills where the mud is thick (which is just about everywhere). They also moved the rail pile that would be inside the building. The 36' beam arrived that will be part of the south end wall.
* R-O-W - Fred and Dwight cut wood in a number of places along the mainline including Rosewood Crossing. Logs from their work were brought to Alna Center for the Victorian Christmas bonfire.
* Upper Yard - The railroad got 30' longer this week as the last two rails were set and spiked at the south end of the roundhouse track. The extension makes operations safer for engine crews bringing locomotives over to the coal pocket.
* Archives - A major shipment of archival grade storage containers arrived so Linda can continue working and sorting historic material.
* Restroom building - More painting was done to the front (under the porch) and west side.
