Albion Day 2016
« on: October 25, 2016, 01:07:19 PM »
All;
Make sure to mark your calendars for November 5, 2016 to join us for Albion Day 2016. There should be some track work, ballasting, brush cutting and, perhaps, some painting. As always, Phil and Janet will provide a sumptuous lunch. There also should be a tractor to help move the ballast. We'll meet at Sheepscot about 7:30 a.m. to load tools. I hope to leave for Albion by 8:00 or so. Make sure to wear some blaze orange as it will be hunting season. Please post here if you'll be attending so I can give Phil an estimate for lunch. Thanks!
Dave

All;
It doesn't look like there will be any painting but there will be a re-railing of the flat car/flanger that Phil and Carl managed to derail in front of the station. Let's make sure to bring jacks and a come-along with us. Phil said something to me last night about coming into the station too fast one day...

How far is Albion from Sheepscot?  When were they rail-connected?
