This Week -
* Car storage building - (1) The concrete pedestals for the posts arrived. (2) Zack set corner batter boards to run strings from.
* Upper Yard - A load of crushed rock was delivered and the spur track was ballasted down to the reverse curve. On Friday, Joe Fox and crew jacked and tamped around the north switch.
* Work Weekend Prep - More ties were cut and loaded onto a flatcar.
* TOM - Switch timbers arrived, were cut and taken north. The south switch was built and mostly spiked in so small equipment could travel over it. (see ToM thread and fb for photos). A former MEC switchstand was donated. It was retrieved from Wiscasset, cleaned and soaked with pen oil to free up the rusted parts.

* Visitors - This week we had visitors from England, Russia and Switzerland.
* AAPRCO Convention - A group from the Private Railroad Car Owners Convention in Portland visited Sheepscot and toured the shop. In the group were people from FLA, NC, KY, CA, OR and a man from England.
* Fall Festival - Steve Z., Bob L. and crew set up the tent for the musicians and built the steps/platform for the hay ride. Steve Z., Dawn Fox and Cindy Rhine shopped for childrens games supplies.
