Anticipated work for weekend of June 21:

* Excavator: Securely attach the ramp pieces to each other.  Move a flatcar to the ramp and stick the excavator on it.  Then switch so that both flatcars are together, block up between them so the excavator can move to the other flatcar.  Put the ramp material on the flatcar with excavator.  Goal is to move the excavator north not this weekend but next.
* Track: There's more roundhouse run-through track to build.
* Masons: The Mason's will be coming for a trip up the track mid-afternoon; we're leaving them off at Alna Center, then we have to come get them at 6 PM.  Thus we need some train crew that are willing to stay around until we get them back.
* #9: See Jason for instruction.

I will be down in the afternoon Saturday. We do not need to hurry on the ramp. I really want to secure the parts together before the excavator is loaded. And we have some oak ramps for the trailer I think will fit to span the two flats. I would like to be loaded and ready to move North for the following Saturday, the 28th.

Work done on June 21:

* Mowing: Fred and Bill R mowed north of Rosewood Crossing on both sides of the tracks.  Later Bill weed whacked around the yard.
* Charters: In the morning a group of speeder owners showed up.  This group, NEREX, had started in Brunswick this morning, ran their speeders to Wiscasset, then a bus took them to the WW&F.  They took the 11 AM trip.  They wanted steam, so #10 was fired up and ran the trip.  10 ran several of the trips today.  On the 2:30 train we took the Masons to Alna Center.  A 6 PM extra will pick them up (diesel).
* Excavator: Mike tied the ramp together, then we ran the flatcars in to the ramp.  As the 2:30 left the excavator was on the flatcar.  On the return the flatcars were back in the yard and the Kubota had been swapped to the other car.

Another person on the train crew is needed for Sunday.

I was thinking KOFC but EOFC works. Actually EOBFC would be a good one for the day. It went as planned, well as I planned. I have been thinking about it since Brendan convinced me of it. Now that it has been done I can turn my thoughts to something else...stumping and ditching.

I'm assuming the Masons made this trip without a bridge collapsing beneath the train?

They made it back to Sheepscot intact and happy.  Good group and a great place to have a cookout - meeting.  They may schedule their cookout at the WW&F again next year.  Thanks to everyone who helped make their visit a success.

Anticipated work for weekend of June 28.  Summer is finally here!  Let's hope it sticks around a while.

* Excavator: The Kubota on its flatcar must be moved to the end of track, then the ramp assembled so it can dismount.  Then we can turn over the first chunk of sod on the Quebec Top of Mountain extension!
* Loco 9
* Roundhouse track extension
* Train operations.  This is the last weekend of diesel-only trips.
