Wow.  All three together at Sheepscot.  That is historic/memorable.  Keep those on permanent file!

And you have answered the question if the turntable can handle 38 ton #8.  Obviously yes.

Is #8 operational enough to appear to Double Head?
And is #3 or #9 big enough to drag it along?
And how would the cylinders get lubrication?
I have a lot of good Bad Ideas  :D

Nice! Any idea when SD Warren & Co. 2 is arriving?

Due to mechanical issues, SD Warren #2 will not be able to participate in this Winter's photo events. That said, all five of the remaining Maine two-foot common-carrier locomotives will be together for the first time ever. It is going to be an exciting event!

We had hoped to make that a "surprise" once we learned that SD Warren #2 was unable to attend. Unfortunately, logistical issues prevented its transfer to and storage at Sheepscot. The yard and buildings are full, and indoor storage is now at a premium.

I think the present situation would dictate concentrated efforts to complete construction of the car barn.

BTW - for those pieces that are destined to remain outside for the winter has anyone considered doing a marine "shrink wrap" on that equipment similar to what is done for boats in winter storage.

Most of the equipment will be used throughout the winter, so shrink-wrapping isn't an option.

Anyone who would like to help with the carbarn expansion should contact Brendan, the project manager. Monetary contributions sent to the museum and earmarked for the carbarn expansion are also always welcome.
