I'll second what Stephen and Duncan said, it was good working with you Ira. I'll add that I don't think there are any "piddly" jobs at the museum. Everyone who comes to volunteer is important no matter what they do. The garage project is a good example: we had people measuring, cutting lumber, moving boards and handing them up to others on the staging, nailing, etc. Whether you worked on the roof or helped from below, everyone had a task. Ken served as our saftey officer, watching from the ground as people, tools, lumber and equipment moved higher and higher. This is a practice used in the fire service. Having someone stand back to view the big picture helps everyone on the job site.
We got a LOT done thanks to the 20 or so who helped over the four days.
