What happened to their other steam engine the #21? Is it in the shop for repair?

21 ran this year, there's some youtube footage of her out and about, and I have some video that I need to put together from my trip down this year.

She's sporting a very nice sounding B&M 6 chime these days.

Update from Edaville's Facebook page

New Steam Engine Update.

I just filled the completed boiler tonight for the first time and hope to give it a prelimanry hydro tomorrow or Friday if i get the chance. So far all looks good. The ASME stamping of the boiler with the inspector is scheduled for April 2. The boiler
will be going on the frame in the next couple of weeks. Photos will follow.

Could the new boiler be for one of the Edaville 30" locos that is at Boothbay RR being repaired and re-gauged?

Looks like it, Stewart.  That would be a smart move for the folks at Edaville.  Those lokies have roughly the pulling power of a Portland forney.

Best Regards,
Glenn

The only problem I can see with the 30" loco theory is the fact that this engine is a six-coupled machine, evident by the third horn block. Maybe they both put some smaller parts to the cause, but there's no way this is a conversion. It doesn't make sense considering the evidence...

Dylan,
your doubts will be settled soon enough. The new boiler looks great, but that will be the newest thing on the locomotive. Maybe Edaville can release some facts about this build. I am sure they will in time.
