Steve, Thanks for the close up of the light.  Yep, Josh does great work - wait til you see the knob and tube electric service that's planned for AC station.  It'll be like a new electric installation in 1915.
I have recently purchased some porcelain sockets like those used with knob and tube, so if Josh needs any. please let him know.

Thanks John,  I'll tell him.  I have an original (restored) porcelain hanging fixture made by Edison that we may use. He's got boxes of knobs and new wire for the project.

More shingling today. West roof is done up to the knee wall. Only about 9 feet left to go. Should be able to finish up tomorrow, if all goes well.

Are there going to be bay doors on the south wall again or is it going to be a solid wall this time?

Eric;
Not only will there be doors, they will be the same ones with the non-opening one in the middle.

Ok. I've got the 3 B's taken care of, (Beer, Bagbalm, and Bandaids) now I can type a little and let the picture talk a lot. Yes I finally remembered my camera. First off...
  THE ROOF IS DONE!!!!!!!

Here is what Leon, Fred and Myself Shingled Friday while Zack and Ken worked on other areas of the building.

And about 1:30 this afternoon (Saturday), we finished. I was able to get my camera out and catch Zack, Bob G.(through the wall above James' head) and James working on the sophet while Leon looks on before we took the staging down.

Here are some without the staging near the end of the day.

And finally, I know it is not the best picture, but here is the new light Josh installed last weekend. The daylight was fading and so were my batteries. In the camera and myself.

Mike,  Thanks for the pictures of the roof work.  Look forward  to seeing the light installed on the south wall by Josh.  Again the team work of the carshop building crew is just superior.     Fred L. Kuhns

Thanks for the report and photos, Mike. I'll bet the side walls will be done sooner than originally thought at the rate you guys are going!

The only reason we could not start that yet is we have some brush cutting to do. A week or two of that and maybe then back to the building. That will give my thumbnail a chance to heal anyway.

You guys are truly amazing! Talk about a professional job! There was no lollygagging on that worksite!

By the way, the station bench is repainted and ready to go in the spring. It is being kept warm and dry for the winter. I think I will have to rethink the finish for another time. It sits directly under the drip line and takes a beating. It probably should have a stained and oiled finish. Any thoughts??

Mike, as the others have said: Great Job! All concerned did a top notch job. As far as your poor thumb is concerned I can only offer this advice: roofing air-nailer.  Saves your fingers a lot of pain.
Duncan
PS: I can't wait to see the finished job in person.

I went to the museum today, as per my usual Saturday lately. Got there just as the day was brightening. I had to wait about a half an hour before I could take the shot of the progress from Friday.
