One request. Could these be put into order, perhaps oldest at the bottom, so when you add new ones they will be on top and in order?

You can click on the "Subject" heading, and the list will sort in order.

The forum defaults to sort such that the most recent posts are at the top. Once all the Newsletters are posted, I *may* repost them all so that they will sort properly chronologically too.

ALL newsletters from 1994 to the present are now posted for members to enjoy. Thanks to Dave and John for all the countless hours it took to produce these.

If you come across any missing issues, bad links, etc., please let me know.

We would love to have someone step forward with issues prior to 1994. Any takers?

If anyone has newsletter issues older than 1994 and is willing to send them to my office, I will scan them.

By coming to my office, I guarantee they won't disappear at home, and I will ship them directly back to the owner as soon as they are scanned.

I have a complete set of all newsletters which I was intending to reproduce into three books. I think the forum e newsletter is a better solution. - What do we need to complete the project - I will send them off to Dave for scanning.

Hi Allan,

We miss you back on the East coast.

To complete the project, we need all newsletters published prior to 1994. Everything else has been scanned. I'll let you and Dave Crow work out the arrangements.

Thanks for helping with this project.

I too like the book idea. We have the e-edition, but sometimes I'd rather read a book.

I knew of the December 1989 newsletter.  I had no idea that there were earlier ones.  That's great!

A splendid effort!

Having all of this information easily available will make it much easier for historians in years to come – and provide hours of interesting reading for new members.

For me, reading about the work that has gone into reopening the WW&F, especially in the early years, serves to point up the parallels with how we got the Ffestiniog reopened in the mid-1950s. The same basic outlook: 'There must be a way round any difficulty if you only look hard enough'. The same scrounging of materials and equipment – and the same donation of professional and other services by sympathetic supporters. It still goes on on the FR/WHR even now that we have a turnover of several million pounds a year.
