Galvanized oil drip pans, like a really big cookie sheet, may be a better solution and do not have to be food grade.

As far as crossing Rt.218.
My track engineering guru say it should have 115# rail due to the gravel trucks.
He said he would donate, when needed, the 60#-90# and 90#- 115# comp joints.

I echo Glenn's thanks to Mike's work.

The only paper work once 218 is crossed is the monthly report to FRA on crossing inspection. Since 218 is a a state highway, the State of Maine will determine what is required for crossing protection. That is in the future, of course.
