3 miles of very light rail being scraped in Oregon with 3 switches. It doesn't indicate the weight but it looks lighter than 56# to my untrained eyes. If it is suitable and we want it, it appears that we need to move quickly.

Ira, I think you won't need to bring any special clothing.  ;D

Date problem...
Tuesday is the 23rd, Wednesday is the 24th.
I assume they are coming one of those two days (and not Wednesday the 24th or Thursday the 25th.)

Hi John,

When do you need the "kid going to/from school"? I have an adorable 12-yr-old girl (who is also a regular WW&F volunteer) but we probably wouldn't be able to get there until 4:30pm or so.

If I may inject myself into this conversation....

What exactly is an injector? Me, being a newbe to steam railroading hears terms like these all the time, but has no idea what they are or the purpose they serve.

Guilty as charged.

Anyone is welcome to let me know if there is a specific event that we should plug on the "news" line. They're real easy to add via the admin panel.

I thought you were talking about the gifts I get for Father's Day.

(Ira, don't get me started :-)

[Moderator's Note]

I split off the discussion that involves 1910 days and a steam shovel.

I think this forum will take getting used to. The look will be the main thing, along with figuring the easiest way to tell what a new topic is.

Click on "Show unread posts since last visit" at the top of the page. Better yet, make that your bookmark for the site, then you'll always see the latest posts whenever you stop in.

Ok. No need to keep adding "I got it" or "I didn't get it" to this topic. If you got the note, then you know about the change. If you didn't get the note, and you're reading this message, you found out about the change by one of the many other ways that it was announced.

Thanks, I figured the one from 10:00am this morning would go through - since I sent it from my email account rather than relying on setbb's email list system.

Well, we've got some leading truck wheels and a bell... I bet #11 will be done in less time than Tornado. While it's a little smaller, that doesn't matter - since Tornado, like 7/11 was equivalent in size for their respective owners.

Did anyone get an email from the admin of the old forum letting them know about the new forum? I tried sending an "email blast" from the old forum to let everyone know about the change, but I have a feeling that it didn't go through.

Modified: 8/1/08: I resent the blast, this time using my own email account. I suspect that worked better.
