...I will continue to attempt to expand linguistic horizons of those who read the forum but only as long as my proclivity for profundity does not go to the point of being verbose. ...
Eschew obfuscation.

Harold,  maybe I worded that a little obtusely, but you got the drift.  ...BTW - I would have been disappointed if I hadn't gotten a "snarky" comment - this can be a rough crowd so I need to keep sharp on my correspondence.   ???
John, you are one of the more clever wordsmiths on the forum. We expect obtuseness from you and you are always sharp and don’t disappoint.

It’s great to see some of our crew working on MNG locomotives and some of our MNG friends crewing our equipment.  Everyone wins with teamwork and cooperation.

Harold,
Most of us are still catching our breath from the professional, and artistic work you have completed on the seat patterns.  Then you come up with what looks like a laser cut kit for a J&S coach like we would put together for our model railroads.  I echo the previous remarks on your patterns, and I hope we can find a place in our new museum display area to show off your excellent work.

Wait, wait, wait... I noticed in the last picture that there is a stair with a hand rail going to the up-side-down yellow trailer.  Does this mean that it has been under refurbishment for so long that it is now a recognized tour stop for our visitors as they look around our campus?  The stair is so they can get up on the underside of the deck to check out the work (or non work) being accomplished?

Seriously though, I do understand there are a ton of projects that tug at our volunteers, but just couldn't resist the observation.

Ties and money disappear at about the same pace!
Fred,
You are too wise.

Someone more tech savvy than I should let them know that they were inspired by a 2 footer in Maine, not a broad gauge 3 footer in Maine.  We are only three times larger than they are, not 5 times larger.

A couple of years ago I was working on missing joint bar bolts and concentrated on the main line outside of the SS yard limits.  I got that project down to about 15 locations north of the SS yard limits.

At that time there were a whole bunch of missing bolts in the SS yard, most being south of the water tower switch.  Since the yard limit speed is 10 mph, we only need three bolts per joint bar.  I suspect Joe, who is doing a great job trying to keep our rails aligned and clean up a few old projects, found an issue that needed prompt repair.

Really interesting.  As you approach Trask Crossing you can see a car cross.

If you burn me ... you won't be surprised if you find clinker on the grate, I'm not first rate fuel anymore.
Alain,  Your last sentence was one of the best ones I have ever seen in the forum.  Not only that, nothing was lost in the translation.  Well Done!

Steve,
I am noticing a dramatic increase in events at our Museum, many of which are only loosely based on our railway. I might be wrong (could that be possible?), but I suspect that you are the, or one of the, driving forces behind this increase in activity. If so, a tip of the bowler hat to you for your creativity and efforts.

...a big thank you to those volunteers who shoveled ballast with us during the SWW. ... Apart from track laying, track work is not considered the sexiest task on the work weekends but without it the railroad doesn't run.  I appreciate all of those folks who helped out on the track.
Dana,
Though I found tasks on the Sheepscot side of Alna Center to keep me busy (like bringing up the lunch train) for the SWW, I have done my share of track work, both on the WW's and just general track maintenance.  Though the work is hard, I find the camaraderie of working with other volunteers for the love of our WW&F to be very rewarding.  Additionally, the skills I have had the opportunity to learn makes me the envy of all my local model railroad and NRHS friends.  Some folks pay a lot of money to enjoy what we share for the shear love of our Museum.

Surfacing and tamping just the outside of the track sure takes the whoop-dee-doos out of the track as seen in the shots before tamping.  Our track crew did an amazing job this past SWW.
