Sunday, Dec. 5th

Fred, Steve Z. and Dwight did some brush clean up work on the sight lines of Albee's Crossing. Mostly cleared the ground of all the old tree limbs left over from the logging operation. Next year the people using the trimers will have easier walking.

Eric was clearing the ROW north of Rt 218 crossing site.

On Monday, Nov. 22nd. Fred and Dwight took #52 to end of track. Spent the morning cutting brush at the Top of the Mountain.  That section was finished. One more section to brush to get to the end of the tree cleared right of way.

When the 3 pm train was at Alna Center, Tom Albee was seen on his large antique tractor with a new brush hog on the rear. Tom was driving over the small tree's in the field on the west side of the ROW. Where the tractor had been is now a cleared field.

The large blue tarp at Alna Center is old and torn. I tryed to remove it to clean up the site. But there is more of the trap under the pile of fire wood than is covering the wood. Oh! the wood is left over from last years Chrismas trains.

A few years ago the Maine DOT installed two traffic lights on Route 1 in downtown Wiscasset. They made the bad traffic worse.  All the people crossing Route 1 stopped the traffic. The lights were removed after Labor Day. They were not reinstalled the next summer.

Mike, any plans to cut the trailer hitch off near the air tanks? This would make more more for Dave's seat and tool boxes.

Lindsay had some Air leaks fixed, and I also added a pulley after Ed fabricated me a part. Ready for an alternator to be added on now.

Seat for Big Joe.....someplace in the shop is a spare seat that came from # 51 afer 51 got it's "new" seat. A base for the old 51 seat needs to be made before it can be used.

Paul, from EOT to TOM switch is 300 or 600 ft away. I forget where the 300 ft marker posts are located.

The brush and grass in Albee"s field between the mowed field and the WW&F phone line was cleared. This brush hasn't been cut for a couple of years and it was getting tall.

The wood trim inside Alna Center Station was finished and painted.
