Ive look up on Google map and I notice there is a decent amount of whats left of the older and longer loop that is no longer used with the tracks still in place? Does anybody have any photos of whats left of ROW on the old loops with the tracks still in place. It would be nice for the New for the new Edaville to restore the remaining trackage on the old loop and add a balloon loop or wye at the end of ROW so that future generations can at least experience of what Edaville was like back in better times?

Maine Narrow Gauge Museum / #7 Status and Tractive Effort

What work has yet to be done on the #7 this year to achieve that goal of it getting running again? Can anyone post a list please in numerical order please. Also I know the current museum site at Portland is mostly level and no grades but if there were some grades could #4 (or #3) can pull all those coach's with ease or will it struggle? What is their pulling power maximum?

Its been awhile since I have heard a update on the progress going on with the restoration of the Albion Station and the WW&F Flanger Car (which I don't know if the museum has plans on moving it down to Sheepscot when its restored. Any news?  ??? :)

I looked up the Museum track on Google Map  I know I have a tendency of come up with a lot of ideas that are always equal to many things that would require lots of money to make these ideas become a reality but one of these two ideas I will tell you might sound like it wont be that much money as my second option will be. Here is my first idea. So far the museum track only runs Hancock St and I notice that their is enough room to extend the line a little bit south towards Maine State Pier St with what looks like enough space to build a run around track there. My second idea is the ridicules idea that what if the open swing bridge was restored and train were able to cross the bridge to downtown Portland on the other side. Does any railroad uses the tracks on that side of the river because I see another run around track behind Presumpscot St behind a place called "Richard P Waltz Plumbing & Heating" at what appears to be a gain silo or something. It would be a great place to turn the locomotive around there if this fare fetch idea could be possible with lots of money but is that standard gauge track still in revenue service?  ???

Im excited to hear about this project, that I saw was mentioned in another topic, does anybody know the history of the original saw mill that was located there and once its built, what will it served it's purpose for the museum?

Museum Discussion / updates on the planned Car Shed?

I heard there was a project that was planned for a future car shed to store the museum's ever increasing number of rolling stock at Sheepscot and I see that a spur track has been constructed by the water tower on Goggle Map, has any work been done on that?

Museum Discussion / Future Replica Rolling Stock Ideas

I knew there are really old topics in this forum that mention a few ideas. After watching the Reefer Car #65 project, It reminded me of these old topics like building a replica WW&F combine or baggage car for Wheelchair acess, a replica 2 foot tank car, and a few other things that I cant remember right now that I know was talked about here awhile ago. Are these ideas still on the long term plan table when the right amount of money comes into play?  ???  :)

Pardon me to ask this but I cant find the topic about this but does the museum long range plan on crossing Highway 218 and continue rebuilding the ROW until it reachs Head Tide? It seams like a possible objective in the long run with the right amount of money needed?

Ive seen no new updates from the museums website except for operating time days. Anything new going on there like restoration, maintance, or anything? Anybody here have any updates?  ???

Maine Narrow Gauge Museum / Ocean Spray Boxcar History???

Does anybody know the information on that boxcar? Im currious to see if the product that the boxcar says on it is fake or real?

Plus I am looking at photos of the conditions of this car and a few others from a year by year status and by the looks of this only the passenger cars have been looking more and more better by 2011 while most of the frieght cars (That I have seen) in the collection have been looking more and more worse for wear. Has the museum plan on restoring any of its frieght equipment (not including cabooses)

Work and Events / A future event idea for WW&F

It was in a day dream of mine where It was about the completion of the restoration of WW&F Steam Locomotive #11. Plus #9 and #10 were on hand to operate along side with #11 and the event was called Steam Days were all three engine operated in together as a triple header. What do think of that idea.
