Work and Events / Re: Wilmar's world tour

A huge tip of the engineer’s cap must go to WW&F Logistics (a/k/a Wayne) for arranging for the donation from Wilmar Sugar and all that went into Wilmar’s cruise. I think it all turned Wayne’s hair gray. Nonetheless, Wayne stuck to it through all the nail biting moments.
Thanks to Wayne, I had the honor of being the first to sit in the operator’s seat of our first “real” tamper, lifter and liner. I think Mike may post a photo of that moment.
Though there is a box for a radio, I did not find a cup holder. I am told our shop crew will take care of this matter.

And thank you Stewart! You can take most of the bows for those numbers.

Please, you’ll scare Robert off before we can welcome him. Welcome if it’s not too late!

Mike Fox, Brian Whitney, Zack Wylie, Fred Morse, Dwight Winkley, James Patten, JB Smith along with a few others that my bad memory can’t bring forward right now are owed a big thanks for getting the pavilion completed. Mike promises that the Kubota won’t be the subject of an updated “Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel”. This week we’ll do a bit more clearing around the pavilion.

That happened to me years ago with blood sausage. Never been near it since.

And also on Saturday the “Carbarn Crew” received a box of summer sausage and cheese from member Owen Beeder. We opened some until Linda came up with the idea of using the rest to make a special Mac and cheese for next Saturday.
When I checked my mailbox at the end of the day I found an 8 1/2 X 11 envelope from Pensacola, FL. It contained a W&Q mortgage certificate with payment coupons. There wasn’t any note only a return address that didn’t match anyone in our records. I will explore further to find out who our Secret Santa might be.

The LCN has already done a story. I plan to let her know when Wilmer should arrive. The excitement continues to build in Sheepscot.

Shipping costs could be expensive. Check with WW&F Logistics for a quote😉

We were talking yesterday while working on the pavilion about what you pointed out about how much has been accomplished since you joined. We were a bit surprised ourselves. Of course, none of what was done would have been possible without the support of all of our members including your generous support.
We look forward to having our French cousin visit! We’ll make sure to roll out the red carpet.

I just wanted photographic evidence in case Mike fell on me.

Welcome to the family Jay,
I second Brian. Come by any Tuesday, Wednesday or Saturday. Makes sure to bring your smile, sense of humor, work gloves and work boots. We’ll do our best to see that you find something worthwhile to do.

Make sure Johnny writes his time in the log book. A man that serious about his work needs to take credit for it.

Fred’s son-in-law’s name is Barry. It was Eric on the tractor, not Bill.  A great time was had by all. The Sandy River crew did a great job preparing for us and seeing that there was something for everyone to do. The “Have track tools, will  travel” WW&F track crew did itself proud today. I received a couple of heartfelt thank you’s from SRRL folks.
We had very good mask compliance today in Phillips but not 100%. I was disappointed to learn that compliance was so poor at Sheepscot. This needs to change.
Finally, if there are any complaints about spiking in the Phillips car barn it’s Carlos’ fault.😉

Brian has already fit in well with the Pavilion Crew being willing to climb the heights that many of us shy away from. (Well me anyway.)
