All,

Follow the link below to a collection of my railroad portraits, from 17 states – both standard and narrow gauge.
All of these are staged shots, using only ambient and/or natural light.

Wonderful! Each shot is very different but very connecting to the viewer.

Hi Matthew -

Wonderful essay of crews, passengers and line side people.  You really captured railroaders in their environment.  I always like seeing your work. 

I hope you make it to Sheepscot this year.

A great series of photos.  In looking back on my railroad photography, I wish I had focused less on the equipment and more on the people.
