Note that the WWF forum message editor has a button for the superscript effect (and also a corresponding subscript).
And the easiest way to get the effect that Bill appears to be looking for is to add that into a signature line, to have it appear without typing the phrase in each message. (Edit your profile to change your signature.)

It appears that  the text effect buttons aren't visible when editing the signature line, but the effect is still available by using BBCode of:
 B(sup)2(/sup)

type  that into your signature area, but substitute square brackets [ ] for the parenthesis ( ) shown

Aren't you guys clever.

In Word it is easy to do and I never nosed around for superscript on the forum, which, as you pointed out was just in front of my face.  Slow learner I guess.  Thanks.

BTW, what I did was to copy the below text into my profile signature.  Great ideas from the both of you.

I used to hear that line on the radio, when the DJ was announcing a live show somewhere.

So, looks like you're trying to ease up, simplify, ballast spreading using WW&F flat cars, rather than hopper cars used by Herzog and C&TS, for instance.
Nice work on your "wheelbarrow spreader".

Definitely go for it! Ballast work, the little I've done, is no fun!

Fun, not so much. But it keeps a good sized crew busy during the work weekends.

Don't forget, the chutes will still require one or two folks to handle each chute and probably 3 or 4 to be on the flat car shoveling, pushing, dragging ballast over the edge onto the chute, and there are two of them so we are still talking about a bunch of folks.  It is hoped that this is just faster, easier and the ballast can only be pushed around, not lifted.

Jason pointed out something I hadn't thought of (which happens to me a lot) where the ground falls off on a lot of the west side there is no place for the chute operator to stand, so the chutes will have to be used on the east side.

This isn't such a big disappointment as each ballast train will have two flat cars so one can be used on the east side of each car with the traditional method used on the west side.

Not to worry, we will figure it out as we always do.

Bill

Could your rig be suspended from the Flat Car, and just move the whole car slowly..
With several people feeding each side you may not have to stop.

Carl,

Good idea, but since we have a bunch of folks there who would also be shoveling from the rails to the end of ties at the same time I don't think we would want to move the cars while so many folks are around.  Then we also have the three points of contact rule which would be an issue for the shovelers on the car.

It is a thought worth more consideration.  Right now I am almost in a panic to complete these before my departure.  At first blush the SWW is still almost a month away, but I have a lot of other things in life that consume my time and energy, hence the completion concern.

I have the same type of issue. Never enough time in the day. But you get done what you get done.
