How much cutting crew can we get together for Saturday?  The Tuesday crew hit it hard; if we tag team this and hit it this Saturday, and again next Tuesday, we’ll have it about licked- at least until the next permit goes through.

It’s aupposed to be in the 40’s for temperature on Saturday.

We’re thinking of running 9 for the crew train- we need to heat the boiler anyway, and make some refinements under steam.  Plus- it’ll be fun for the crew.

Don’t need a crazy early start- we can leave Sheepscot at 930 or so, eat lunch up on site (bring a bag lunch), and quit by 230 or 3.  If we did this with a 6-8 man crew, we’d do wonders.  I’d join the cutting crew.

Let us know here (or text me)- a lot of our decision will be based on response to this call.

Thanks,
Jason

I plan to be at the museum on Saturday, and I understand He Who Likes To Volunteer Me plans to be there as well.

I must say, I am extremely impressed at how much work is being accomplished by our hardy group of local and semi-local volunteers who are doing a tremendous amount of work, primary in 'not the most pleasant' weather environment.

Reading what projects are being moved forward each week is awe inspiring.

Unless one follows the winter forum threads carefully, one doesn't realize the amount of work behind the scenes.

Bill,
It's actually a typical Maine winter cycle;  "Work hard or Freeze"!   ;D  All kidding aside, keep up the good work guys.  Look forward to being there later this year.

Mike,
Do I detect  just a bit of jealousy in your comment?  The First Lady invites you to join us for breakfast at the 7:30 a.m. seating. If you RSVP in time she might make a frittata and hash browns though HWMNBN likes waffles and sausage. Your name will be left with the Palace Guard so you should bring ID.

Dave, it took me a minute to figure out what HWLTVHWMNBN meant.  Clever.  A good Pres. keeps those volunteers busy.

Dave, jealousy doesn't cut it. I know how the First Lady preps her meals, and I would be out of service most of the morning because I would enjoy sampling WAY too much.. 😁
