SR&RL in Model Railroad Craftsman
« on: December 19, 2014, 09:43:10 AM »
I came across the  Nov/Dec issue of Model Railroad Craftsman at the supermarket. Inside there is an article about  a large scale replica of the Strong Junction of the SR&RL built by a gentleman in California.   There are some good historic photos with matching photos of the present day, in model form of course! You can't read it, but here's a link to the cover on facebook.

....the length of that link is ridiculous but it works.
Also the WW&F is mentioned in relation to #9s restoration and the website is listed.

I happened to be in Penn Station in New York City last week when I spotted that cover photo of SR&RL 24 smiling out at me from one of the newsstands. I nearly jumped out of my socks when I saw it!

It may be the first copy of RMC I've purchased in more than 25 years.

I think it's a really well done article with great photos and some real research behind it.
